Import data
Bring your customers, services, appointments and balances into Bookit when you switch from another booking platform.
Overview
Use this when you are moving to Bookit from another booking system and want to bring your existing customers, services, appointments and other records with you instead of starting from scratch. You can import from supported platforms such as Fresha, Tunai, Ebteq and Aoikumo, or upload CSV files if your system is not listed. Find it under settings → Business → Import data.
Bring your data over from another platform
- Go to settings → Business → Import data.
- Tap the card for the platform you use now, for example Tunai.
- Follow the import steps shown for that platform.
- When an import finishes, check the imported records before moving on to the next data type.
Import from a platform that isn't listed
- Go to settings → Business → Import data.
- Tap the Generic card.
- Prepare your CSV files in Bookit's standard template format.
- Upload the CSV file for each data type you want to bring over: customers, services, products or packages.
If your data cannot be put into the template, contact Bookit support for help with other systems.
What you can import from each platform
- Fresha: customers, services, appointments
- Tunai: customers, services, products, discounts, packages, customer balances and credits
- Ebteq: customers, services, customer balances and credits
- Aoikumo: customers only
- Generic (CSV): customers, services, products or packages
FAQs
What happens to the data I already have in Bookit?
Imported data is added to your existing records. It does not replace them.
Will I end up with the same customer twice?
Bookit does not check for duplicates when you import: every row becomes a new customer, even if that phone number or email is already in Bookit. Remove duplicates from your file first, or combine them afterwards — see Merge duplicate customers.
Can I import past appointments?
Yes, if your old platform lets you export appointments, you can import your historical appointment data. Of the listed platforms, Fresha supports appointment import.
Do I have to import everything at once?
No. You can import each data type separately. Start with customers, then add services, appointments and other data as you need them.
Why can't I import customer balances yet?
Customer balances need the customers to be in Bookit first. Import your customers, then come back to import balances and credits.
What if my import fails?
Bookit shows an error message explaining what went wrong. Common causes are missing required fields and dates in the wrong format. Fix the file and try the import again.
Can I import from a platform that isn't on the list?
Choose Generic and format your data as CSV files using Bookit's template, or contact support for help with other systems.
