Packages
Create prepaid packages customers buy upfront and redeem over several visits, such as 10 haircuts or credit for any service.
Overview
A package lets a customer pay upfront and use it over several visits. For example, they can buy 10 haircuts at once, or prepaid credit to spend on any service. You set packages up once in your catalogue, then sell them at checkout. You'll find them in Catalogues → Packages.
Create a package
This example sets up a 10X haircut package for RM 250.
- Go to Catalogues → Packages.
- Tap Create new package.
- Choose the package type:
- Bundle package for specific sessions bundled together.
- Credit package for credit the customer can spend on any service.
- In Name, enter the package name, for example 10X haircut.
- In Description, explain what the customer is buying.
- Optional: add a Reference, such as an internal SKU code, and choose a Tag to group the package.
- Under Additional settings, set the Validity duration. You can let the package never expire, or pick a duration such as 1 year.
- Optional: pick a Display colour so you can spot the package quickly.
- In the Pricing section, set the Price strategy to Fixed price and enter the Default price, for example RM 250. You can also choose custom pricing instead.
- In the items table, choose the service or product, for example Hair cut.
- Set the Value of each redemption, for example 60.
- Set the Quantity, for example 10.
- Tap Save in the top-right corner.
Sell a package at checkout
After you save it, the package appears in the Packages tab at checkout, so any team member can sell it.
Customers with an active package see their remaining sessions or credit balance when they book. Team members can also apply a package redemption during checkout.
Change a package
- Go to Catalogues → Packages and open the package.
- Make your changes.
- Tap Save.
You can change the name, description and colour at any time. If you change the price or validity, only new purchases get the new terms. Customers who already bought the package keep their original terms.
How it's calculated
Aisyah buys the 10X haircut package. She pays the Default price of RM 250 at checkout.
- The package holds 10 haircuts, each with a Value of 60.
- Each visit uses one haircut. After 4 visits, she has 6 haircuts left.
- With a Validity duration of 1 year, she must use the remaining 6 haircuts within that year. After it expires, she can't redeem them for new bookings.
FAQs
What's the difference between a credit package and a bundle package?
A Credit package gives the customer an amount to spend on any service. A Bundle package contains specific sessions, such as 10 haircuts, that the customer redeems one by one.
Why can't I save my package?
A package needs a Name and a Price strategy before you can save it. Check that you've filled in both.
What happens when a package expires?
An expired package can't be redeemed for new bookings. If Aisyah still has haircuts left when her package expires, you can extend the validity manually or refund her, depending on your business policy.
If I raise the price, do existing customers pay more?
No. Price and validity changes only apply to new purchases. Customers who already bought the package keep their original terms.
How do I see how many sessions a customer has left?
Open the customer's profile to see their active packages. To see package sales and remaining sessions for all customers, use the Packages summary report.
