Reward points

Let customers earn loyalty points when they pay and spend them later as a discount or on a free service or product.

Overview

Reward points let your customers earn points when they pay and spend them on a later visit, either as money off the bill or on a specific service or product. Use them to give regulars a reason to come back. You set up programs in Catalogues → Reward program. Points are then given and redeemed at checkout.

The examples on this page follow one customer, Aisha, who pays RM 50 for a facial and has 1,000 points saved up.

Set up a reward program

  1. Go to Catalogues → Reward program.
  2. Tap Create new program in the top right.
  3. Enter a Program name and, if you like, a Description.
  4. Switch the status to Active if you want the program to start straight away. Leave it as a draft if you are not ready yet.
  5. Under Earning points, tap Add to create a condition.
  6. Choose the Catalogue item type: services, products or packages.
  7. Select specific items, or choose All service or All product.
  8. Under Points reward calculation, choose Percentage and enter 100 to give 1 point per RM 1 spent. To give a fixed number of points per purchase instead, choose Absolute and enter the number of points.
  9. Tap Add again for each extra condition, for example a different rate for products.
  10. Tap Save.

Choose how customers can spend points

You can let customers use points as money off the bill, swap points for a specific service or product, or both. Set these up in the same program.

As a cash discount

  1. Go to Catalogues → Reward program and open the program.
  2. Scroll down to Cash redemption configuration.
  3. Tick the box to enable cash redemption.
  4. Enter how many points are worth RM 1, for example 10. The text under the field confirms the rate: 10 points = RM 1, 1 point = RM 0.10.
  5. Tap Save in the top right.

For a specific service or product

  1. Go to Catalogues → Reward program and open the program.
  2. In the section for redeeming points, tap Add to create a redemption condition.
  3. Choose the Catalogue item type, for example services.
  4. Select the item customers can redeem, for example V-Face Lifting Treatment.
  5. Enter the number of points it costs, for example 1,000.
  6. Tap Save in the top right.

Give points at checkout

  1. At checkout, select the customer.
  2. Choose the reward program from the dropdown.
  3. Continue to the review screen and check Reward points collected. For Aisha's RM 50 facial on a 100% program, this shows 50 points.
  4. Complete the payment as usual.

Let a customer pay with points

Take points off the bill

  1. Select the customer on the order screen. Tap their name to open the Customer profile and see their points balance.
  2. Add the service or product they are buying.
  3. Go to checkout.
  4. In the payment options, choose the option to redeem points.
  5. Check the available points and rate in the dialog, then pick a preset amount or enter your own. For example, Aisha uses 200 points for RM 20 off.
  6. Confirm it as a partial payment. The discount is applied and the amount left to pay updates to RM 30.
  7. Choose another payment method, such as cash or card, to pay the rest and finish the sale.

Give a service or product for points

  1. Add the service or product to the cart, for example V-Face Lifting Treatment.
  2. Tap the item card in the cart to open its details.
  3. In Redemption points required per unit, enter the points the customer will spend, for example 1,000. A message confirms the item is eligible and shows the customer's available points.
  4. Tap Update. The item price changes to RM 0.00.
  5. On the review screen, choose the Reward points payment button to finish the sale.

The invoice shows the item was paid with points.

How it's calculated

Earning. With Percentage set to 100, a customer earns 1 point for every RM 1 spent. Aisha pays RM 50 for her facial and earns 50 points. With Absolute, she earns the fixed number of points you entered, whatever the amount.

Cash redemption. With a ratio of 10, 10 points = RM 1, so 1 point = RM 0.10.

Amount
Facial RM 50.00
200 points redeemed (200 ÷ 10) − RM 20.00
Paid by cash or card RM 30.00
Points left (1,000 − 200) 800 points

Item redemption. If V-Face Lifting Treatment costs 1,000 points, Aisha uses all 1,000 of her points and the item is charged at RM 0.00.

FAQs

Why can't customers earn or use points from my program?

Check the program's status. Draft programs are hidden and customers cannot earn or redeem points on them. Change it to Active and tap Save.

How do I pause a program for a while?

Change its status from active to draft. Customers cannot earn or redeem points until you make it active again.

Can a customer pay only part of the bill with points?

Yes. Redeem the points they want to use, then take the rest with any other payment method, as in Aisha's example where 200 points cover RM 20 and she pays RM 30 by cash.

Where do I see a customer's points balance?

Tap the customer's name on the order screen to open their Customer profile. The balance updates as soon as points are redeemed, and the receipt shows the points used and the amount paid by other methods.

Can I give different points for services and products?

Yes. Add a separate earning condition for each catalogue item type with its own rate, or create separate programs for services and products.

Can I copy an existing program?

Yes. Select the program and choose Duplicate from the menu, then edit the copy.

What happens if I delete a program?

The program and its rules are removed permanently, and points customers earned under it may be affected. If you only want to stop it for now, set it to draft instead.

How do I find or export my programs?

Use the search box to find a program by name, description or reference, or tap Show filters to filter by status. To export, use Download selected for the programs you have ticked or Download all for everything.
