Redeemable packages
See which prepaid packages your customers can still use, redeem sessions at checkout, and record packages bought before Bookit.
Overview
Use redeemable packages when a customer has prepaid for a package and comes back to use a session, or when you need to check how many sessions or how much credit they have left. You can see every customer's packages in Customers → Redeemables packages. You redeem sessions at checkout, where the customer pays nothing for the prepaid service.
Redeem a session at checkout
In this example, Lilo bought Skin Lifting (12 times) for RM 1288.00 and is back for two V-Face Lifting Treatment sessions.
- At checkout, select the customer (Lilo). If you are in Menu, open the Packages tab and tap Add customer.
- Tap the customer's name to open Customer details.
- Under Redeemable package items, tap the item you want to redeem (V-Face Lifting Treatment). It goes into the cart at RM 0.00, marked "Redeeming this package item".
- Tap the item again for each extra session. For Lilo, tap it twice in total.
- If you pay commission, tap the commission icon next to each line item and choose the team member.
- Tap Continue.
- Under Payment method, choose Redemption.
- Tap Pay full RM 0.00 to finish.
The sessions are deducted from the customer's package straight away. Check the receipt: Lilo's shows 10 of 12 sessions left.
Check what a customer has left
- Go to Customers → Redeemables packages.
- Search by customer name or package details, or click Show filters to filter by customer, package type, status or expiry date.
- Switch between table and card view if you prefer.
- Click the customer's name to open their profile and see their packages in full.
Each package shows a status badge:
- Active (green): sessions or credit still available.
- Fully redeemed (grey): everything in the package has been used.
- Expired (red): the package passed its expiry date.
Packages without an expiry date show No expiry. Credit packages show a blue badge and bundle packages show a grey badge.
You can also see a customer's Balance, Credit, Reward points and active packages with purchase dates in Customer details at checkout, or under credits in their profile.
Add a package bought before you used Bookit
If a customer bought a package before you moved to Bookit, add it to their profile so you can redeem the remaining sessions. This does not create a sale and does not affect your sales reports or revenue.
- Go to Customers, then search for and open the customer's profile.
- Scroll to Redeemable package items and click the button to add a redeemable item.
- Set Type to Package.
- Under Item, choose the package they bought, for example Skin Lifting (12 times).
- Set the quantity to 1 and click Save.
- Click Manage on the new package card.
- Change Quantity to the sessions they still have. If Lilo had already used 2 of 12, enter 10.
- Click Save.
The remaining sessions now appear whenever you select the customer at checkout.
Download or delete packages
- Go to Customers → Redeemables packages.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the packages you want.
- Open the three-dot menu and choose Download selected or Delete selected.
How it's calculated
Each redemption deducts the sessions you add to the cart from the customer's package, and the customer pays RM 0.00 for them because they were prepaid.
| Step | Paid | Sessions left |
|---|---|---|
| Lilo buys Skin Lifting (12 times) | RM 1288.00 | 12 of 12 |
| Lilo redeems 2 V-Face Lifting Treatment sessions | RM 0.00 | 10 of 12 |
When all 12 sessions are used, the package shows as Fully redeemed. For a credit package, the customer has an RM amount to spend instead of a set number of sessions.
FAQs
What's the difference between a credit package and a bundle package?
A credit package gives the customer an amount of money to spend. A bundle package contains specific services, such as 12 V-Face Lifting Treatment sessions.
Why don't I see any packages?
Packages only appear once a customer has bought one at checkout or you have added one to their profile manually. You also need to create packages in your catalogue first. To set them up, see Package catalogue.
Why can't I sell a package without picking a customer?
A package must be linked to a customer so their sessions can be tracked. Select the customer before adding the package to the cart.
Can I edit a package from the Redeemables packages list?
No. Click the customer's name to open their profile and manage the package there.
What does Fully redeemed mean?
The customer has used every session or all the credit in that package.
How do I see unused sessions across all customers?
The Packages report shows total and unredeemed package value, with a customer breakdown for each package. It is generated at month-end, so the current month only appears after it closes. See Packages report.
