Checkout

Payment methods

Choose which payment methods appear at checkout, add your own, and set the order your team sees them in.

Overview

Payment methods are the options your team can pick when a customer pays at your branch: cash, card, e-wallet, and any custom methods you add yourself, such as bank transfer. Use this page to choose which ones show at checkout and in what order. You will find it under settings → Checkout → Payment methods.

Turn built-in payment methods on or off

Built-in methods are marked System. You can switch them on or off, but you cannot rename or edit them.

  1. Go to settings → Checkout → Payment methods.
  2. Find the method marked System, for example Cash or Card.
  3. Click Enable to show it at checkout, or Disable to hide it.
  4. Click Save.

Add your own payment method

Add a custom method when your customers pay in a way the built-in options do not cover, or when you want different wording, for example "Bank transfer".

  1. Go to settings → Checkout → Payment methods.
  2. Click Add at the bottom of the list.
  3. In Name, type what customers will see at checkout, for example "Bank transfer".
  4. In Reference, type an internal note or code for your own tracking, for example "Maybank current account".
  5. Click Save.

To take a payment with these methods, see the point of sale checkout page.

Change the order at checkout

  1. Go to settings → Checkout → Payment methods.
  2. Drag a method up or down using its drag handle. Put the ones your team uses most at the top.
  3. Click Save.

Remove a custom payment method

  1. Go to settings → Checkout → Payment methods.
  2. Find the custom method, for example "Bank transfer", and click Remove.
  3. Click Save.

Built-in System methods cannot be removed. Disable them instead.

FAQs

Can I rename Cash or Card?

No. System methods have fixed names. If you need different wording, add a custom method with the name you want and disable the built-in one.

How many payment methods can I have?

Up to 20 in total, counting both system and custom methods.

Why can't I disable every payment method?

At least one method must stay enabled so customers can complete checkout.

What's the difference between Name and Reference?

Name is what customers see at checkout, such as "Bank transfer". Reference is your own internal note, such as "Maybank current account", useful for tracking codes or other business details.

I made changes but checkout still looks the same. Why?

You probably have not saved. If the page shows unsaved changes at the bottom, click Save.
